Your domain name is safe for the period you register it. Most popular domain name extensions (.com, .net, .ca, .org) are verified in real time through a central registry to prevent a previously registered domain name from being registered again

How do I prepare to transfer my domain names to Aztus?

Before you can authorize a domain name transfer from another registrar to us, you must first check if we can transfer the domain extension associated with your domain (look at the drop down selector on the search bar of the transfer page). If your extension is not listed, you cannot transfer your domain name to us. After this, you should prepare the domain name.

ICANN regulations prohibit transferring domain names (except .au) that were registered or previously transferred in the last 60 days. For more information, click here.

To Prepare to Transfer Your Domain Name to Us

  1. Ensure that the administrative contact (admin) for your domain name (registrant contact for .au domain names) has a valid email address on the domaintools.com WHOIS database. Both registrars use this email address to send you important information about the transfer.

NOTE: If your domain name has private registration, what we call WHOIS protection, a service that hides your personal information from the public, you cannot verify your admin email address in the Whois database, you must contact your current registrar to cancel the private registration, and then you can update the email address, if necessary, with them.

  2. Unlock your domain name at your current registrar.
    1. To unlock your domain, please check for this setting in the management interface of your current provider. If you are unsure how to do this, please contact the support team for the current registrar of the domain name to request this action. You can find out who this is by searching for your domain name on domaintools.com.
    2. Look for the domain's registrar. It's contact information should be available on its website. If the domain record indicates a Reseller, then you may want to contact it first, as they may be the party that you contracted with in the first place and should be in the best position to help you unlock your domain name.
  3. Get an authorization code (also known as an EPP code or transfer key) from your current registrar, if required. Some domain name extensions, primarily country-code top-level domain names (ccTLDs), do not require an authorization code. Some registrars display the authorization code in your account with them, while others email it to the admin email address upon request.
  4. Purchase a domain name transfer from our website when all this is done. If required, you will be asked to provide the EPP code during checkout. After, look for an email message with further instructions. We will send it to the domain name's administrative contact (admin) after you purchase the transfer.

Time required to complete a transfer

In general, domain transfers take between 1 and 10 days. To avoid needless delays caused by potential problems with the transfer process, however, it is recommended that you initiate the transfer as soon as possible. In other words, don't wait until the last minute to transfer your domain.

Why transfer now, even it's before the end of your current term?

As we are simply adding years to your domain name registration during the transfer, you can do so at any time and not wait until the last days of your current term and risk being too late. Even if you still have 2 years to your domain, you can transfer it immediately. For example, if your domain expires in July 2017, you can simply add one year, at our very competitive rates, so the domain will now expire in July 2018. It's that simple.

I'm unable to access my domain's control panel. What should I do?

If your user name and password are no longer recognized on the login page of your control panel (eg. 'https://mydomainname.com:8443'), use the hyperlink on this page titled 'Forgot your password?'.

After providing your username (administrator) and the 'recovery' email address associated with your administrator account, you will be automatically forwarded an email allowing you to change your password.

Should this not work for you, use this page that allows you to recover this access even if you can not remember your 'recovery' email address: Access Information Request

If one of this procedure does not allow you to access your account, please contact our technical support.
